Urban hymnist Sir the Baptist, along with his #chuchpeople movement, just dropped the latest video for "(Cleflo) Almighty Dollar" featuring Twista, Jack Rvd, and Lili K. Fresh off the release of his highly successful debut single "Raise Hell", his second offering takes aim at prosperity gospel evangelists and their deceptive theology, making direct reference to the controversial pastor who rallied his followers to crowd-fund a $65 million private jet. The R&B/soul crooner (and occasional rapper) typically borrows from hip-hop and gospel traditions, but credits the African chants on Paul Simon's Graceland album as the original inspiration for his latest single.

Prosperity gospel and fraudulent evangelists are currently hot topics of discussion, most recently satirized by comedian John Oliver on HBO's Last Week Tonight. Even Oprah Winfrey's new scripted series Greenleaf will touch on the highly controversial themes surrounding megachurch communities. Now with "Creflo 'Almighty' Dollar", Sir offers his own poignant commentary on the matter.

"Cleflo 'Almighty' Dollar" serves as the second single for Sir's forthcoming debut full-length PK: PREACHER'S KID.

Raised by a pastor in Chicago’s historic Bronzeville neighborhood (aka Jazz Heaven), Sir was born a “church boy” and evolved into a spiritually-attuned rebel. His music is a game-changing fusion of the secular and sacred – with a message that’s refreshingly progressive, delightfully innovative, and sometimes unapologetically necessary for today’s cultural climate. In the same spirit Ray Charles brought gospel influence into the pop world with “I Got A Woman”, Madonna with “Like A Prayer”, and Kanye West with “Jesus Walks” -- Sir the Baptist takes the concept of "twisted faith" to a new level.

In conjunction with a show-stopping performance at The BET Experience, Sir's debut video single “Raise Hell” premiered with BET.com in June 2015, and has since been spotlighted by LA Weekly, Karen Civil, Bossip, Singersroom, and FakeShoreDrive. Earlier this summer, fans heard Sir the Baptist on Chance the Rapper and The Social Experiment’s SURF album, alongside King Louie and Quavo of Migos on the track “Familiar”.
