MC Dementor & DJ Decordha ft Cassidy- Zero Reasons to Fail

Sometimes we make wrong decisions that affect us
When we need em, They reject us
They say don't push that music, cos I'm on
Don't let em take u down when I'm gone
I know u can fight, cos u strong
Don't let em take u down when I'm gone
Go for gold, Go like green
Never stop, Never seize
Haters can watch, they never gone see;
That u flying, cos u gone

Chorus
U got million reasons to win. (Million reasons to win 2x)
U got zero reasons to fail. (Zero reasons to fail 2x)

I got million reasons to win. (Million reasons to win 2x)
I got zero reasons to fail. (Zero reasons to fail 2x)

Cassidy Verse

We've seen sunny days and we've seen rain too
But whatever weather we get, we've got cedar to get
See Bein' broke is just something I could never forget
Now that I'm fly And I can buy shit I never could get
I spend cheddar on chicks, But I was never a trick
But most hoes rather have cash instead of the dick
See I was never of blood, I was never of crip
But I always been a gangsta, I was never a bitch
I don't think you ever heard a flow better than this
I'm so great I hold weight like a pregnant bitch, about to go in labor
Pro niggas know I'm major, No one can save ya
Cause when I write I make the pen in my hand melt
That's why I got the damn belt
U're too young to give up son, u were made for greatness
Go for greatness, And always remember that the only time u fail is when u give up
So go son, Go for greatness
U've got zero reasons to fail

"Some music critics as claim rapper Cassidy hasn't been somehow off the music scene for a while now although he's been dropping a couple of freestyles which he usually gains positive response from his fans. Some say when was the last time u heard a Cassidy hit at a party or on the radio since he released his hit single my drink and my two step a decade ago. Yes it's been a decade since Cassidy released a hit.

Meanwhile 2016 wasn't bad for the rapper as he been working hard for a comeback. In January 2017 he released a Mixtape, Da Barbarian and had great response of the global hip hop lovers and media as well.

You can tell rapper isn't playing this year as he follows up with another motivational banger, with upcoming Memphis duo MC Dementor and DJ Decordha. ZeroReasonsToFail, which is the title of the song became viral on YouTube with 550 k plays only in two weeks after release due to the motivational message behind the song.. The song tells how one must not give up but push till he reaches the top. Can Cassidy make it to billboard hot 100 again with this single.. Well let's wait and see if indeed he has zero reasons to fail."

Back in its humble beginnings, hiphop started out as a way for outcasts to express themselves that wasnt available in everyday society. Today, Hip Hop sets the standards thanks to artist such as Greedi Phresh. Greedi Phresh is an talented artist out of Harvey, IL that pushes hip hop beyond its norm to help to it reach new heights. He like many great music minds like Drake and Kanye West are able to fuse many elements of life, put it into their music and create something unlike any thing before.

For instance, his latest single "Sega and Chill" is a synth filled, base knocking player track that just catches its groove and wont let you go. It kind of puts you in the mind of Wiz Khalifa in the "Kush and Orange Juice" days. Between J-Hood being a Yonkers native and D-Block affiliate and Vietnam being born in Brooklyn and raise in Baltimore, this collaboration was destined to properly represent the culture. With Loud Rap Beats on the banger instrumental that sounds like it could've made a peak-Dipset project, this record was clicking on all cylinders. A song coming from an artiste that has had the “next to death” experience. Artist SlickMick details his journey from being “ok” to lying in a hospital bed not knowing what is really going on whether in his head or anywhere around him. This is basically a testimonial of closing out an experience in Cambodia and heading to Thailand where his world change in the blink of an eye. He could remember stepping from a bus and as he made his way to crossing the street, it all went blank when he was hit by a car and ended up in rehab where his life was now a matter of recovery or out.

Through his song, you could literally hear his passion for living and his strong courage and determination to fight his way through to full recovery. This song portrays his bravery and can definitely be a form of peace and motivation for those going through a struggle and trying to keep going. Though it may be a sad experience, his strength over-powers that and makes him a tower of strength for many in the music industry and those listening. It goes to show life experiences don’t determine your destiny but pushing through and using those said experiences as a stepping stone for greater heights. A true inspiration of fighting through physical, psychological and emotional weakness!

Brooklyn emcee Kev The Pope has a message for the ones that didn't hold him down on his new single "Where Were You" featuring Jav. "Where Were You" is the lead single off Kevs upcoming album Crazy Weird Cool Love set for release May 25th. Although this record explores themes of deceit and portrayal, Kev remains positive and his overall tone is more triumphant than defeated. With an instrumental that includes a modernized bop and flows from the two emcees that fit the progressive mold of todays hip-hop, there is no reason why "Where Were You" can't be worked in our current climate of the industry. This record has everything you want from a sonic perspective and when you package it with a quality visual from @vTapeken that is when everything starts to click. From the kitchen to Times Square, this visual really does a good job of bringing the song to life and symbolizing the journey that Kev is exploring on the record.

Kev The Pope has a unique journey and an interesting path that can be traced back to his days as a youth. Kev grew up in a musical household and at around 12-years-old he was already experimenting with sounds across all genres from hip-hop and R&B to pop and reggae. Not only was his direct family an influence on his musical path, but Kev was inspired by an unlikely hero, the late-great Sean Price. Sean Price is a hip-hop legend and god emcee who happened to live in the same building as Kev. Kev got a chance to rap for him at the park one day and Price liked what he heard, so he took him under his wing. Now that Sean Price is in a better place, Kev is carrying the torch and using all of the gems that Price gave him to keep the essence alive. Kev The Pope is only getting started and "Where Were You" is a testament to his progress, check out the video below and look out for Crazy Weird Cool Love on May 25th.

JFK has a few screws loose on his new single "5150" where he embraces his crazy side and uses it to his advantage by being a polarizing emcee. JFK was born in Brooklyn but his sound isn't traditionally New York, there are many elements of southern hip-hop on "5150" from beat selection, to delivery and cadence. However, there are most definitely elements of his roots in his rhyming ability on this record where he showcases his pen game with polysyllabic rhyme patterns and witty wordplay. JFK clearly has a chip on his shoulder after a long journey of having problems with the law he is triumphantly coming out on the other end. Check out "5150" below and look out for more from JFK coming soon.

In this rendition of Childish Gambino’s sensational hit “This Is America”, Nicole Arbour takes the stage to share the perspective of women and the variety of social, economical, and psychological injustices women can experience in their lifetime. She further pushes the boundaries by invoking similar thought-provoking imagery and combines them with several incendiary stereotypes to serve as a general expectation from woman. Coupled with the fact that this type of song brazenly opens the dialogue of oppression shared by another social class falls directly into the heart and soul of hip-hop. A social commentary that exposes not only the weakness we have as a society, but also the weakness we have toward each other. The presentation of this message also underlines the most significant aspect of this song, which is the empowerment of women by being aware of it. For Nicole Arbour, it’s not just a matter of showcasing talent and creating content that resonates with it’s audience, but an instilled lasting impression that allows us to explore this complex theme. It’s the type of performance that can be taken to multiple levels and the raw energy of it is palpable.

When listening to "So Beautiful" by UNG it feels like a breath of fresh air in this modern hip hop era. Recently, a lot of other artists are trying to achieve that universal pop/cross over sound that Loopy and Scripture have mastered. Listeners will enjoy the smooth sound that is brought out during the chorus by R&B artist, Trale. As well as the verses that have really pulled this song together. You can't help but to fall in love with how the lyrics flowed throughout "So Beautiful", the musicality when going from the rap verses into the soothing chorus . Although its a topic that is commonly touched on, this hands down is the perfect summer love song! Overall, this is 100% grown folk music that has beautifully crafted a message for everyone can vibe to.
