Prepare to be swept away in a sea of spirited emotions as seasoned musician, Maxime, successful blends pop, alternative rock, blues, and folk music with new album "The Honest Me". This is Maxime's 1st installment of the cinematic album series. Enjoy and read more about the artist below!

Maxime Boublil was born in Paris, France, into a musical theater family. His father wrote Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, his mother was the first Cosette in Les Miserables in France. As a child, he played cello for eleven years but knew he never wanted to follow in his parents' footsteps. Maxime studied photography at the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco and after a year realized that it wasn’t for him. He soon found what he was looking for when he walked into a friend's dorm room one day and picked up their guitar. Soon after, he switched his major to Music in Visual Media and started composing. Maxime eventually pursued a career as an engineer at "Furstock Studios" with three-time aria award-winning engineer Doug Brady, all the while writing his own songs on the side. Realizing he needed to do something with the over fifty songs he had written, he began to produce and record his own music. Listen to Maxime on Spotify and SoundCloud. Jason Ivy is an up-and-coming, unsigned musical artist based in Chicago, whose freshman EP project, CØMPLIMENTS (released 2/09/19), has earned over 300,000 streams on Spotify and Soundcloud, as well as Top 10 R&B album placements on both amazon and iTunes. Ivy has been a self-starter and entrepreneur in the Chicago music scene for the last two years since returning home from college at the University of Pennsylvania where he studied Neuroscience and Linguistics.

Each icon represents one of the six songs from the project. In order, they are: Hate (the spiteful message and angered posture of the astronaut), Foreign (the astronaut itself), Higher (the rocket), Chlorophyll (the sunflowers), Ivy (the ivy leaves), and Pyre (the woman with the burning heart).

The concept behind both the EP and the cover art is that these are all separate concepts that function as a whole, all mostly contained within this jar. Each of the songs addresses the state of the jar — being emotionally empty or filled — which doubles as a graphic metaphor for the state of the narrator’s own emotions.

Daniel Cronson and Kehinde have given us something undeniably magical. However, as brilliant as this single is with Daniel Cronson alone, it would be imperfect without Kehinde’s breathtaking bars. Lyrically, he reincarnates Daniel’s breakdown of the trials one faces in pursuing their dreams, by giving his own, in-depth take on the topic. What results is a magnetizing, new record for Chicago’s summer. One that will have you ready to fire up the grill out back, as easily as it fires up your soul.

“Is it only when you know the pot is empty, that it’s gnawing at the corners of your mind?” croons a high-pitched, soulful sample in the beginning of Slick Mick’s lovely October release, “I Gotta Rose For These Hoes”. Once the steady shiver of a tambourine, engulfed by slick, bluesy guitars, has had its fill; a goliath, East Coast drum loop stomps into the mix, completing his puristic instrumental. As gravitating as this beat is, it gives our Sydney spitter room to further captivate us with his calm delivery and lyrical narration. This record, above all else, is aimed at the casual listener; who will press play whenever they yearn for a tranquil hip-hop song to pacify them. Slick Mick, sliding through bars regarding his current state of life and attitude, is not seeking to overwhelm you. No, instead he maneuvers his smooth, Australian accent and endless river of rhymes, to deliver the ideal Saturday night ballad. On the brink of kicking back on the couch to relax? Throw on “I Gotta Rose For These Hoes” and let this excellent offering from Slick Mick massage those corners of your mind.
