It is utterly insane how electric Jetcity Records can make a twenty-two track project sound. With their long-awaited debut, “Welcome To Jet City”, this high-flying Hip-Hop collective takes compilation albums to new, modern-trap heights.

Peep the sweet video interview with JetCity Records:

Almost every track on “Welcome To Jet City” is a profound posse cut. Loco 2k, Nucky JMC, Rup Monsta, Skyler, Big Ox, Aye Michelle, and Ag Souljah are the prominent pyromaniacs of the album; blazing through hooks and verses with lyricism and inflections that keep the energy at an all time high. What is likewise captivating about “Welcome To Jet City” is that it is not a constant stream of original content. Rocking the ride, every now and then, is the turbulence of mainstream remixes. “Thotiana” by Blueface; “Lil Bebe” by Danileigh; “Middle Child” by J Cole; “Going Bad” by Meek Mill and Drake; each one of these records are terrifically remixed by the talents on this album, steering it into clouds of spontaneous exhilaration. Certainly, “Welcome To Jet City” may intimidate you with the length of its tracklist. However, once play is pressed, and the debut opus truly takes off, you will not regret a single song. With such an invigorating list of bangers, this soaring collective simply cannot be shot down.

This summer is going to be exciting! For the most part, we will have 1NE FAMILY to thank; and their torrid, new single, “Kill 4 Me”. Composed by their on-board producer, Lowell, this danceable and infectious record brings out the ultimate best of the hip-pop trio. The celestial harmonies of 1NE FAMILY’s two, primary vocalists, Young Drumma and Cory Hill, find their way gracefully about “Kill 4 Me”, igniting this bonfire of energy that’ll perfectly suit your next beach bash. Undeniably, this talent; this innate affinity for rhythm, tropical melody, and groove, derive from their combined Latin backgrounds. Each of these star-destined, Floridian artists are Hispanic, and have spent years trying to discover the ideal blend between Hip-Hop, Pop, and the Latin musicality that flows through their veins. It is safe to say, after “Kill 4 Me”, the search is over. For, this Orlando trio has created a powerful, genre-bending track; and made summertime all the more enticing.

With his first, official single, “BALLIN”, Space Jay utterly illuminates the modern-trap sky. Rock-ish electric guitars form a constellation, arching over the intro of this debut; blazed solely by meteors of bright, auto-tuned bars. Just as a steady clap is introduced, the Irish artist rises into a melodic, vocal swell. The outcome is a magnificent supernova of sound. As the rushing, trap drums impact the mix, Space Jay explodes into his versatile verse. He is solar with his use of autotune; offering melodies and bars that burn brighter than the daytime sun. In a little less than three-and-a-half minutes, Space Jay gives Belfast a Hip-Hop sensation to look forward to; whose starpower is capable of bolting him right across the Atlantic. That is with his first, anthemic release, alone. Yes, Space Jay is already “BALLIN”; yet, with such a vibrant single, he has many more accomplishments awaiting. Prepare to see this upcoming elite make an astronomical 2019.

Chi-town looks like we have another one! Fresh out of the hot bed of the Windy City comes a new trippy sound from an eccentric artist, Kyngleaf. He bring us his new 12-track banger, "Space Vibezzz". This on-the-verge artist's project is consistent with a spacey, hard hitting production to match his out of orbit melodic style.

Kyngleaf makes reference to space often on the project, which he says is a metaphor for his newage sound. He says, "This project was for the people to see that I’m truly one of one, I make musical art for the ears for all ages I’m targeting all age groups, and Space Vibezzz was to give everybody a vibe that makes them feel confident and deep in there personal feelings".

With the unique energy and sound that he carries, it wouldn't surprise us to hear Kyngleaf making hits with the likes of Migos, Lil Uzi Vert, or Travis Scott any day now. Enjoy the entire project on Youtube and follow Kyngleaf's growing movement today.

An airy, ethereal string progression, backed by a joyous prance of keys eases you into Chicago artist, Eddie Bars’s, unique, new single. Titled “Hot Head”, this joint is a moving, modern-trap orchestration by BeatsByQuez, which finds Eddie Bars at his most openhearted. Earthshaking, is the 808 which introduces Eddie’s passionate chorus, and drives the energy of the record through its tempest of raw emotion. Our Chitown vocalist uses this joint to chronicle his past and present mentalities. Alternating between a melodic hook and high-energy verses, Eddie Bars details how his once hot-headed persona has simmered into coals of blazing ambition. He has grown immensely; and with each crack of those hard-hitting trap snares, the rapper lets us all know how. Having now refined his mind-state, and refocused his energy on sobriety and success, Eddie Bars is more ready than he’s ever been before. To create awe-striking music, and lead the next tidal wave from the coast of Lake Michigan, into his Chicago home.

Flowing like the myriad Georgia rivers, is 16-year old rapper, Blessed.Savage; and his recent release, “Frequently”, is soaked in undeniable swagger. It is two-and-a-half minutes of Zaytoven-esque production (completed by milky, gospel organs and vocal chants), layered underneath the raps of a kid fully coming into his own. Because, the track is not reflective of this artist’s age. On the contrary, it is a testament that if he’s dripping over beats like this now, he’ll be making tidal waves in adulthood. His delivery and flow, over this smooth series of snares, claps and 808s, is inexhaustible. He never seems to tire; in fact, he only gains more vigor as his verses lunge onward. By the second verse, our Riverdale representative was whirling with melodic inflection; spitting throughout the song about the impact that rapping has had on his recent years. If Blessed.Savage can push through the hatred, and continue dropping joints just like this, he’ll be “Frequently” seeing dollar signs.

Florida has been a hot bed for hip hop talent recently, led by Kodak Black and XXXTentacíon.  Since, we've seen a number of new artists emerge out of south Florida and may be looking at the next phenomenon.  KV Infinity, sliding onto the music scene out of Hallandale, Fla. is a six member group(LimboKV, LunaryKV, ManiiKV, NintiKV, VozziKV, and YoungkikeKV) looking to take the game by storm with their new single "Candy." The song has a nice jazzy groove, but still knocks coming through your speakers that will have your head bobbing uncontrollably. The track, which was produced by the groups own ManiiKV also has a catchy hook that you'll find yourself singing hours after the is over.  KV Infinity's unity and crew love for one another puts me in the mind of other mega groups like ASAP Mob and Odd Future.  "Candy" is the first single off of their upcoming mixtape, INFINITY and if it is any indication of what we can expect from  this squad, I'd imagine they will develop a cult core like the aforementioned groups in no time.

Hiphop purists will really appreciate the experimental hiphop vibe by producer,
Loony Is Normal, paired with the vocab utilized and creative approach to a smoker's anthem by the budding mc, Sudo Black. His new song "
Desk Boogers" has the off-kilter beat pattern and original weirdness of Wu-Tang mixed with a OddFuture joint. The cherry on top comes at marker 2:45 when aliens beam the song up in a Kanye'esque mid-song beat mashup. Very trippy stuff!
