"Take a walk with me". Milwaukee artist, sideeffect, is on a different level with his alternative R&B/Pop single "tightrope". This groove has a extra wavy, dream-like vibe that will completely take you away! Fall into the music and read more about the artist below.

"tightrope" his is a lofi "bedroom pop" track with 808's and Heartbreak and House of Balloons influences. The lyrics are about being conflicted with where my life is currently at versus how life used to be, while trying to figure out life decisions that may not end well (walking on a tightrope).

Love is in the air this Springtime. It is certainly light enough for “There For You” to float around: an amorous, trap ballad by the upcoming talent, Justin Smith. Clocking in at nearly three minutes exactly, “There For You” is as romantically moving as a 2019 banger can get. Emotionally, Justin wisps about with wings of autotune, chronicling his climatic ups and downs with a significant other. These introspective rhymes and his heartfelt delivery merge well with the melancholic instrumental surrounding him. As slowly as those pianos keys prance through your headphones, the passion of Justin Smith will pass through your soul. It is through this matchless ability to put his raw feelings on wax, that during such a tender season as Spring, Justin Smith makes “There For You” a playlist-worthy smash.

After his phenomenal showing in 2018 with the 16 track “THC-4” project, many would have thought there was no higher a zenith for Wisconsin emcee, Obi Khan, to ascend. Not only did he display a marvelous ear for boom-bap, Hip-Hop beats; but he likewise proved that he could lyrically ravage them for an hour long. Now, he has returned with another LP, “Guerillaz”; and for those of us who thought he could get no better, he impressively proves us wrong. Upping the ante with 8 tracks more than “THC-4” offered, Obi Khan reintroducing every aspect that made the previous project impeccable. Close collaborators, Jabba Tha Kut and Merc The Big Body Benz, frequent the record, as they did the last, with outstanding guest verses. Thanos Beats, a prominent architect of “THC-4” diabolical, old-school sound, restores that aesthetic with a plethora of instrumental offerings to “Guerillaz”. Yet, what rockets this album echelons above its predecessor is Obi Khan’s own vision, education, and execution of the art. You can tell the Madison rapper has delve even deeper into the craft and art of a Hip-Hop album, since his last release. A few skits and instrumental breaks in between jaw-dropping, Golden Era-styled records gives “Guerillaz” a sense of pace and proficiency. It removes the 24-track work from being another, standard Hip-Hop album, and truly gives it a life of its own. This amplifies the power of his dark lyricism, guttural delivery, and grimey, puristic beat selection we champion him for. Every second of “Guerillaz” is electrifying. When added to Obi Khan’s discography thus far, the glint of his crown as an heir to the underground, Hip-Hop throne becomes crazily undeniable.

Here to awaken our spirits with his almighty “Jesus Peace Love Fun” project, is Michigan’s own, Valiant Praize; anointed with versatility and the blessing of musicality. This ten-track effort is ripe with diverse sounds; ranging from the most cinematic, modern-trap, to choir-filled gospel rap, Pop, and tranquil R&B. All of which illuminating with powerful praises of God. The Detroit talent is hard-hitting on the album opener, “Valiant Praize”. As an incredibly theatric progression takes to the background, Valiant Praize, dipped in auto-tune, unleashes a peerless love for Christ on the trap beat. This love only amalgamates as the project courses on, with tracks such as the bubbly “O Happy Day” giving a soulful-rap incarnation to his holy adoration. “Standing In Love” is an acoustic guitar ballad, filled with heart-touching, prayerful bars. The rest of the album is a musical expedition into pure, Christian rap; with Valiant Praize’s lyrics, melody and passionate inflections leading each hymn. “Jesus Peace Love Fun” is a masterful exercise in musical spirituality and unstoppable range. It is an energetic listen for young, Christian adults; and will bring the youth exponentially closer to Christ.

There’s a pure, shining spirituality dwelling within Wisconsin singer/producer, Tanner Mitchell Zingsheim’s, recent cut, “V01D”. Under his alias, Spectrum Bender, the Colgate, devout Christian seeks to seal every last one of us in a vacuum of love; doing so through a marriage of poignant proclamation and prismatic production. The lustrous track kicks off with a buttery chord progression; satisfied solely by a recurring kick-drum, and Bender’s gentle croon. It is incredibly minimal in the totality of its glory, before converging into several evolutions of grandiose, pop production. Once upon the hook, “V01D” accelerates its aforementioned kick drum into a progressive, four-to-the-floor rhythm, backed by glittering, electronic percussions. Eventually, these elements transcend into instrumental interludes, where a trotting kick and 808 snare carry a surge of intricate key and synth breakdowns. Near the end of this productive gorgeousness, we are circled back to Bender’s chorus, where he once again breathes “Into the void we welcome love”.

Verily, this Midwest talent puts God and Christ first; as there is a holy undertone to this entire creation. His attention, and furthermore, appreciation for detail results in a heavenly, pop opus only the heartless could reject. Even as “V01D” goes quiet, at the end of its two minute and twenty-seven seconds of excellence, that won’t be the end of your engagement with Bender. You’ll be dying to explore the rest of his magical catalogue.
